The Story of Belly Dance Part 3

Bellydance and international dance

Belly dancing began in Europe in the mid-nineteenth century and began to be known as "Salome Dancing."
There was a Dutch dancer called "Hata Hari", who helped spread this dance in Europe

And in the nineties of the nineteenth century, belly dancing remained in Western festivals ... and they celebrated it very much

At the beginning of the twentieth century, Hollywood introduced belly dancing into its films, and then Egyptian cinema began to work like this too. The spread of belly dancing in America helped its transfer to Britain, especially in the 1980s.

But in Australia, belly dancing was transmitted through Egyptian and Arab immigrants, who worked restaurants and halls with belly dancing, which won the admiration of the European viewer and made this art spread more and more

Even Asia, belly dancing remained so widespread that they made international festivals for it, institutes that study belly dancing, and other competitions to discover dance talents.

Belly dance overland is still called "Belly Dance", meaning "shake the belly!"

And after it was proven that belly dancing has many important benefits for the body, such as that it stimulates memory and helps the body to form harmonious muscles, this is not to enhance the self-confidence of the girl who dances .. So Sweden decided that it includes dancing as a compulsory subject in its educational program !!

 Belly dance setback

And just as belly dancing emerged from here ... it also flourished here in Egypt
And just as his dances were the most important in the world ... and they would teach and train in the country of Libra.

A strange wave entered Egypt that targeted art in general and dance in particular ... which was a new culture and strange to Egypt.
But it was not a stranger to the oil-rich countries of the Sahara ... who used to look at Egypt with disdain and disdain for its art, despite their knowledge of the greatness and civilization of Egypt, but they are always ignorant of art and its value in general .. and of course they saw dancing as a kind of seduction and dissolution and that it carries explicit sexual connotations. ... and that the role of the dancing is that it enjoys the customer sexually, just because the culture of the Sahara country, unfortunately, does not know the art of making joy in which the ancient Egyptian excelled ... And when this culture began to spread in Egypt ... the people of Egypt were unfortunately affected by it .. and they began to change their view of this art after Dancing was not present in every Egyptian joy, even in the countryside and the Upper Egypt .. And we started to hear words like that dance is forbidden .. and it does not have a place in our joys and events .. and that this is immorality and dissolution, and that whoever takes a dance on his occasions will go to fire .. !!!! !

Indeed, from this period, the state of belly dancing has changed completely, and there is no dance in the zaffa ... and there is no high-end dance links in the new films ..
People did not remain with the intervention of casinos in which belly dancing ... and we kept seeing vulgar and bad dancing in the new films, which reflects the Egyptian influence of the desert oil culture!

And the most dangerous point is that there is no discussion of Egyptian dancers who are practicing dance after the very bad reputation that remained in society ..... At the same time that Europe was annihilated in which belly dancing is spreading and professional dancers emerge from them who compete strongly with Egyptian women ..!

Since this time, belly dancing is flourishing and respected in the land ... and Egypt suffers greatly under the weight of reactionary thought and right-wing currents that killed the art of joy-making that the Egyptian inherited from his ancestors!
